About
I'm a Computer Science junior and Clara Adams Honors College Scholar at Morgan State University. I grew up in Nepal, and I now live and study in Baltimore.
Why computer science
I got into computer science because I wanted to understand how things actually work, and that curiosity still drives most of what I do. I enjoy taking something complicated, figuring out how it fits together, and building something useful with it.
Research
Most of my work is in AI and software. This past summer, I joined a research program at Morgan State's CEAMLS Center, where I worked on making AI models for detecting cardiovascular diseases more reliable over time. I presented that work at a national symposium, which was one of the proudest moments of my college career so far. Today, I'm an undergraduate researcher in the Human-AI eXperience (HAX) Lab, where I explore how people and AI can work well together.
Building for people
I also like building things for real people. One project I'm especially proud of is MyVoice, a tool I built to help K-12 students learn to speak up for the support they need in school.
Outside of work
Outside of class and code, you'll usually find me at a ping pong table, or watching soccer with friends.
